Baby Photo Contest!!!! *edited*

I'm in the mood for a contest....anyone else? I'm thinking awarding something really cool, but the budget is thinking...fat chance.

It'll end up being books....but I'll get to that later...

The contest? Post a picture of yourself as a baby or young child. (gradeschool pictures are fine) And I don't have to know you for you to join. What a way to meet, btw!

Hilarious and embarassing pictures will get extra credit . Pictures w/ you near macrame... an extra 10 points...60's and 70's hairdo's with FLAIR, flips or (gasp) ringlets....extra 20 points.....

So bring on the pictures. Just post your picture (or tell me you're going to) and comment here so I can go peek on it.

I'll announce the winner on Monday. I've got about a 1/2 dozen Usborne books that are new that I was going to sell on Ebay, but I'll sacrifice JUST to see some pictures of my bloggy buddies as babies.....(say that three times fast)

This picture shows me sporting RED MARYJANE SHOES!!!!! Who knew I'd still be wearing Mary Jane shoes all these years later. I love shoes, have you heard?
There's me....with my mouth open....like usual.
Sadly, the side profile of my stomach today....isn't far off from this one. WHAT is up with that bed/couch/davenport thing???? Don't I look scared? I'm scared today....of that bed/couch/davenport thing.
My older sister is totally jealous of my ability to work the camera. WORK IT GIRL! Oh, and a sidenote: I am NOT wearing tap pants or some cute little pantaloons under this dress. There are other pictures where I make the mistake of moving....and my unmentionables show.

WHAT was my dad thinking? Was a certain weed involved when choosing this outfit? It was the 70's after all.

Just look at my sister's jealous face. She totally wishes she were as cool as me.

YOUR TURN...

ok, first of all, your girls totally resemble you! Which I guess they should, but my kids have never really looked much like me, so I think it's cool when they do.

Second of all, I'll have to find a baby picture worthy of embarrassment before I commit to this. I have some from elementary school that would definitely complete my shame. But you said BABY or YOUNG CHILD and these are closer to 9-10 yrs.

Anyway, I'll let you know. Cool ideeer.

I, like Carrie, have some hilarious elementary school photos. I have been meaning to scan some of our childhood pics, so I will ask my mom for an album and get to work! You were and still are a cutie!

I am not your blog friend (yet) but I saw this contest (I came over from Over the Moon With Joy) and it looks way to cool and fun not to enter. Am I allowed in?

My mom has all my baby pictures and the chances of getting them from her in order to post by Monday are slim to none, but as soon as I can get them, I'll post. Until then, just know that I was the cutest baby ever! ;)

P.S. I am also SO your jealous older sister. (sheepish grin)

those are so cute! and one of your kids looks just like you. i'll do it. but first i have to dig out a photo or two.

ConservaChick said...

Not to repeat what has already been said, BUT, you DO look just like your girls! Especially #4! This is a fun idea.... but I' might not be technology savvy enough to figure out how. ~K

I don't think I have a picture of me as a baby, but if I can scrounge one up, I'll do it. Love the retro davenport! It looks strangely familiar... My grandmother must have shopped the same department store.

I posted!

I posted...4 pictures!

Why bother with a contest... that last photo is a WINNER!!!!!!

I don't have a scanner, sadly, but I could post a DIFFERENT picture of someone I know. It's cute. People would love it. You should let me.

I can't belive how much B***y looks like you. Very cute I dare you to wear that little yellow number for Jim on your anniversary :D. BTW did you hear about our little weather adventure today?

Cute pictures! At this point I don't know where to find my old pictures, but if I come across any I will play along too!

Leanne said...

Em, do you realize that B looks soooo much like you?? You must! She does, it's really eerie!!

Posting a pic by Monday?? I have no idea how to do that!! Especially so fast! And get this: I only have THREE PICTURES TO MY NAME of myself, and they aren't even head on shots! BAH!! So I can't enter, but that's okay, maybe I'll have my husband fiddle around and post them anyway!

You really ought to let Cindy post that picture.....I know it can't be as bad as you think it is!!!!

Love you!

Leanne

I definitely see the mother daughter resemblance. I am pretty busy, but I think I will have to make time for this contest. too cute. I will get my baby photo scanned this weekend and post. I know I have some doozies!

I can't stop laughing at that last one! YOU ROCK, GIRL!!!

Talk about marching to your own drummer... but that is what being a kid is all about, right? :-)

Perri said...

OK, I entered your contest, but I'm so not in the extra point range. No flips, no flair, no macrame -- nothing.

No extra points coming my way, so I'll just have to rely on my beauty to lead me to victory :)

Rachelle said...

You're adorable! I can't believe how much your kids look like you!!

I'll be posting my pics within the hour. :-)

carrie said...

ok, mine is up. My pride is completely gone at this point. I'm looking forward to perusing the other "entries."

Marci said...

You don't know me, but I followed Perri's post over here. I made a post and have some really "stylin" pictures up. =)

aren't you a cutie! That last picture of you and your sister....oh my gosh, your youngest girl looks just like you. That could of been her in that picture.

Okay! Count me in! I know I can find SOMETHING embarassing! I was a pretty dorky kid!

Gayle said...

Do ringlets freshly cut off by a baby brother have extra pointage...LOL?!
I posted one, but I am hoping to add another that is PERFECT embarrassment material.
I can't believe I am saying this after it has been said already umpteen times, but B*** looks JUST like you.

JenIG said...

you are so CUTE!!!!! i on the other hand, was a sad speciman of babyhood. i was so ugly that people would pull back my blanket and say, "ooohhhhh, she's so... she's, um, a baby" that's a true story. and believe it or not, i don't have a single baby picture of myself. i think my little sister jess ended up with all the photo albums

Gayle said...

Just wanted to let ya know that I added two more...:)

Marci said...

OK, after looking at some of the others, I decided I need to go digging. I have added pictures to my blog. Let me know what you think. =)

Happyhome said...

Too cute...love the shoes!

Unfortunately, every photo ever taken of me as a baby is on slides in someone's attic...not even entirely sure what state they're in. I recently finally saw a photo of me at around 18 months and realized my little Emma looks exactly like me. It's weird to not know what you looked like as a baby.

Fun contest!

Sarah said...

Well, everyone else is doing it! Hello! I don't know you but I've read all about your fun trip with Cindy and Gayle, and so I think I'll start reading your blog, too. And here is my late night entry, because who needs sleep?

Marsha said...

I'll try to post some time tomorrow... but I won't get extra hair points since I wasn't alive in the 60s and in the 70s, I was a baldie girl with very sad hair (or a lack thereof).

Stephanie said...

I found you through Julie and I posted an entry on my blog.

Rats! I just remembered I do have a photo and Scott could scan it at work, but I wouldn't be able to do it until tonight at the earliest. Besides, it wouldn't be fair for you to pick your FAVORITE bloggy friend, even if I AM the cutest.

I might have to try to post it anyway, even after you declare a winner. Because really, I was awfully adorable.

If you're bored...THIS is my Flickr account. You can see some recent pictures.
