Houses falling in my lap, (and no wicked witch jokes please.)

Kate...you made my night last night. Somebody actually remembered something I had written. Like it was important or something. YIPPEEE. It did only involve polished rocks, but the fact that she remembered it....that was way cool.

God has been plopping houses in my lap this past year.

Seriously.

The first house was 'plopped' into our lap here on Whidbey. Then we thought we were done on Whidbey and went home and then....whoops....back to Whidbey......to find yet ANOTHER house.

But, God once again 'plopped' a house in our laps at the last minute. 11th hour, no joke. (it was looking like a motel until the vvveerrryyyy last minute.)

So now, my husband had an entire weekend to plan our life for the next 6 months. He HAD to find us a home. I mean, we were going to be draggin' a UHAUL all the way to Arizona. It was sortof, well, I don't know.....NECESSARY to have somewhere to live when we got there.

So, Jim had all of 3 days to find something that would work. Six month leases are not a good thing. Folks just don't like that. (another reason that our present home was from God? it was a 3 month lease....amazing.....How many of those are floating around? Not many)

Jim saw something interesting on Craigslist this weekend....hmmmmm....5 acres, 4 bedrooms. In our pricerange? Uh, way to good to be true.

I actually frowned after we talked about it for awhile. He kept saying, "Don't get your hopes up."

So I let my hopes sink like a Lowes balloon.

This house would be perfect, but....what are the odds.....Three houses in a year, ALL perfectly what we needed. The first one we needed furnished....check. The second one we needed for a short time....check. This one we needed to be close to the Canyon, in our pricerange, time frame and....God, could I please have 4 bedrooms?....check.

The didn't even balk at the four kids. Now THAT is a God Thang. YA HOOOO.

It makes me wanna sing and dance to Him. Does that make me a pentecostal or something? Well this non-denominational gal feels like whooping around and dancin' with her pentecostal sista's.

Wanna dance about what He's done for YOU lately?

Let me hear ya testify sista!

aaaah, the pressure of being the first commenter and having a fabulous testimony about the Lord's provisions!!! How about when I took my daughter into the Big City to have steroids injected into her knees because of her Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis flare up and the doc sent us on our merry way instead because there was no sign of any inflammation- NO sign. she is still doing well months later. That was cool for her too as we had prayed about it.
Anyway, back to your life. That is awesome! Sounds perfect! God provides more than we dare hope for sometimes!

Praise the Lord! It sounds awesome!
I love "God-stories"! He works things out so much better than we could possibly hope! My latest isn't on quite the same level, but still evidence of God's care for us, my daughter is signed up for soccer and her coach is a pastor, and a homeschooling dad, which means there will be at least one Christian, homeschooled girl on her team. This daughter needs encouragement like that. Being the only one who doesn't go to "real" school can discourage her, God knows that; He was on it before I even thought to pray about it and I was so surprised! :)

I'm dancin' with you (like a dork)! I can't wait to see the real life pictures of this place because you forgot to tell everyone about the gourmet kitchen, the two master suites and Oh, the fact that it is a million dollar home.

Million dollar home?! Two master suites?? Seriously? I am so, so happy for you!!!

I testified on my post today.

AND I remember LOTS of things you write. Like the rock contest, the raccoon, the giant pig, the fish, the Doritos, the layered veggie dish, the colander, the drive by shooting, the haircut lady, the dessert conspiracy, etc. Your writing is always a treat. :)

Father, you are such a Blesser...I just praise you with my dear sister and her family this day...be glorified...send those who need to hear of your faithfulness and your awesome goodness, let them come and read this post...that they would KNOW!

Father, I know that you bless us so that we can bless- so give them opportunity to bless your Name and to glorify you, as they are already doing. MORE opportunities Lord! in Jesus' name amen!

What a MIGHTY God we serve!
